About Household Hazardous Wastes

Also known in Washington as moderate risk wastes (MRW), household hazardous wastes (HHW) are the unused, leftover household products that can be harmful to humans and the environment. Asotin County and its waste partners are allowed to drop-off HHW and electronics at the HHW Facility during operating hours. There are no fees for disposing of HHW by residents of Asotin County and our solid waste partners.

All businesses or institutions wanting to drop-off hazardous waste must be approved by completing the MRW Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) Application Form. Registered CESQGS must pay a fee based on the type and quantity of waste. To be classified as a CESQG, a business must generate less than 220 pounds of dangerous waste, or less than 2.2 pounds of certain kinds of highly toxic waste, in any month. CESQG waste is accepted by appointment only.
