Future plans for expanding the Asotin County Regional Landfill (ACRL) include building a new cell, Cell E, to the east of Cells A-D, and relocating the entrance facilities to the north side of 6^th Avenue, after 6^th Avenue is realigned. Cell E will be developed in two phases. The first phase will be the south half of the cell. The north half will follow and will necessitate the relocation of the entrance facilities. With the addition of Cell E, the ACRL will gain over 3 million cubic yards of airspace and extend its operational life by more than 25 years. Together, with the remaining airspace in Cells A-D, the ACRL has about 40 years of remaining life.
